Dungeon Defenders: Awakened is an action RPG with tower defense elements. The production represents the brand that started with Dungeon Defenders, a game released in 2011. Chromatic Games, an independent studio, is behind the development of this title, and its creation was possible thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign.

Plot

Dungeon Defenders: Awakened takes us to the fantastic land of Etheria, known from the previous parts of the series. There is a new danger hanging over it, which can only be faced by four main characters. This time the game is at stake because not only the present but also the past and the future of this world are endangered. Marvel heroes omega characters.

Mechanics

Dungeon Defenders: Awakened draws on the best solutions developed for the first part of the cycle and its continuation. Against the background of its predecessors, this production stands out mainly due to new locations and opponents, as well as an improved combat system.

The creators give us four characters representing different specialties: the adept of magic, the squire, the hunter and the monk. Each one of them has unique abilities, and also fights in a different way. Watching the action from the third person perspective (TPP), during the game we get to various corners of the world of Etheria. Within their boundaries we fight against hordes of adversaries attacking us, headed by overgrown bosses.

Before starting a battle we have to take care of proper placement of various fortifications and traps for adversaries (which is helped by a special map that allows you to discern on the battlefield). When the right skirmish starts, in which we take part directly, an important role is played by skillful use of both the abilities of individual heroes (their range is expanded as we progress), as well as the weapons leased by them (with time we get into our hands more and more powerful weapons).

In Dungeon Defenders: Awakened you can play alone or in the company of up to three players, in a local (split screen) or online cooperation mode.

Dungeon Defenders: Awakened is based on Unreal Engine 4 technology. The graphic design of this production has been maintained in a colourful, cartoon style.
